The London Fire Brigade were called out on Saturday (30 November 2024) to a fire at a flat on South Road in Southall.
Four fire engines and 25 firefighters attended the incident in which the ground floor flat was totally destroyed by fire.
According to the London Fire Brigade, three residents were led to safety by fire crews while two other people left the building before the Brigade arrived. One woman was treated for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service.
The first call concerning the fire was made at 9:52pm and the firefighters had the incident over by 10:53pm which saw firefighters from Southall, Ealing and Hayes fire stations in attendance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Metropolitan Police and the Brigade’s fire investigation team.
